Three principles that a good business man or woman lives in their life could include all of the following (but certainly not limited to): having a well-written - yet simple- business plan, practice management by goals and not by crisis, ask to know what God's will is and guide your business accordingly. These are all principles that are discussed in the book called, "A Visionary Business" by Marc Allen.

I wanted to focus on these principles because I feel that they can be key principles to a successful life and business.

If we have a well-written and simple "business plan," we become better prepared for all of the challenges that we will face in business and in life. If we practice management by goals and not by crisis, we become more concerned with the individuals that make up our company and not so much about the issues that are at hand. In other words, when we focus on goals and not the problems, we have a greater desire to accomplish those goals with the people that we work with! Finally, if we focus on doing what is God's will, our attitude changes. I feel that God will help us calm the rough waters of business. He will help us overcome those trials, and if we allow His will to become our will, He will see that we are putting our trust in Him - and thus He will bless us in big and little ways.

As a side note, I wanted to report the current status of my $100 Challenge. I decided that I will create a clean check business. This will consist of going to single student apartments that hold regular clean-checks. For a small price, I will offer to complete clean checks for individuals who may not have the time to complete them their self. If that idea doesn't seem as reasonable, I will turn to babysitting for individuals in the Idaho Falls and Rexburg areas.

Wish me luck!
