Loving What You Do
This week, we were given the option to write anything that we
wanted to write, as it relates to what we wish to remember in the future. Thus,
what I wish to remember is the importance of doing what you love as you embark
in your careers. When I went into college, I’ll be honest. I was only concerned
with finding and getting a degree in something that would quickly pay off
school. I never worried about doing something that I love because I have always
felt that my career is something that I will do out of necessity. Everything
else that I will have in my life be it a family of my own and the memories that
come with that family, that is what I wanted to focus most of my efforts in.
Now I am getting ready to graduate in December of this year,
and I am inclined to consider if I am happy with what I have chosen to study.
To put it simply, I couldn’t be more pleased with choosing to study
Construction Management and Architecture. Though it isn’t something that I want
to die doing, it has brought me happiness. I have a passion for what I am doing
with this degree, and it motivates me to set an example for my siblings and for
my future children. As I strive to do so, I am choosing to enjoy the moments
for what they are. I am not as concerned with finding the right career path for
me because as long as it is something that allows me to take care of my family,
I am happy!
$100 Challenge Update:
